Pentecost marks the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, fulfilling Jesus’ promise. Though He, the cornerstone, was unjustly killed, His sacrifice became our foundation. In the upper room, tongues of fire descended upon the disciples, filling them with the Spirit’s power. They spoke in many languages, declaring God’s glory. This moment ignited the church, equipping believers to spread the gospel. What began in fire and boldness continues today, as the Spirit moves through all who believe in Jesus and his resurrection.
