I participated in a summer-long study abroad trip to Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. I studied Plant Pathology, International Environmental Issues, and many aspects of Chinese Language, History, & Culture. We took many excursions around Fujian Province to bolster our learning experience, including: Several Buddhist Temples around Fuzhou to study architecture, history, and religion; Wu Yi Mountain to study tea history and production and Chinese performance; Shoushan Village to study the art and history of Shoushan carving; and on the last few days of our trip, we traveled to Beijing to see the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, and the Ming Dynasty Emperors' tombs.
