Austin William McLeod (he/him) is an actor, writer, and artist currently based in Houston, TX, and is willing to relocate.
Born in Jacksonville, FL, Austin has always been an imaginative person. He started doing theatre at a young age for his local church and for his school during their Christmas plays. He then moved to Katy, TX in 2011 where then did theatre in high school and starred in plays like Macbeth and Rumors. He also took film classes where he starred in various short films made by his classmates. He later went to college at Houston Community College to major in Theatre and then transferred to Texas State University where he graduated in 2022 with a BFA in Theatre Performance & Production.
While at Texas State, he made his television network debut as a background extra for the television series Walker. Also at Texas State, he starred in many short films, including short film made by the Texas State Film Club. He even directed his own short film entitled PLAY, based on the Samuel Beckett play with the same name.
After college, he starred in many sketch comedy videos, commercials, short films, feature films, and theatre productions including the world premiere of The House of Patrick. He made his feature film debut in the historical play The Dichotomy of Hattie McDaniel and starred in a production of Il Trovatore for the Houston Grand Opera.
Austin's biggest inspirations as an actor are Daniel Day Lewis, Robin Williams, and Heath Ledger as they are versatile in their work and is drawn to strange, bizarre characters as they truly embody the means of acting. He continues his passion every single day and hopes to be like his idols and to inspire many others to fulfil their dreams and passions.
