TOMORROW STARTS TODAY
LEADING THE WAY AT CUA
Welcome to the Office of Austin Janssen—a platform I’ve built to connect with my hometown of Greenwich, the state of Connecticut, and the country as I continue my journey in public service. I’m currently a politics student at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., with a concentration in American government and a minor in marketing. Still, my roots and my heart are here in Greenwich. My experiences working for Congressman Jim Himes and Senator Richard Blumenthal have shaped my understanding of government, and I’m eager to bring that knowledge back home to serve the community that shaped me.
Even as a student, I’m committed to being an active voice for Greenwich. I’ve been involved in local politics since 2021—serving on the Democratic Town Committee, working on campaigns, and listening to residents about the issues that matter most. Through this office, I want to highlight community concerns, share updates from my work in D.C., and build the relationships that will one day allow me to serve you in elected office. I believe that leadership starts long before you hold a title—it begins with showing up, listening, and working hard for the people you represent.
Looking ahead, my goal is to gain the experience, knowledge, and network needed to be an effective leader for Greenwich in the years to come. This site is not just about my story—it’s about starting a conversation with the community I hope to serve. Whether you’ve known me for years or are meeting me for the first time, I invite you to reach out, share your ideas, and join me in building a stronger, more connected Greenwich for the future.
