About Us

Austin APHON is the local chapter of the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses. Austin APHON serves pediatric hematology and oncology nurses and healthcare providers from Central Texas. We offer educational and networking opportunities for our members. We seek to enhance the professional growth of our members so we can better serve our patients and families. Austin APHON has quarterly educational meetings and strives to complete one service project a year. Our Board meets routinely to plan our activities. This site will be updated as changes occur, so be sure to come and visit often.  

The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) is a national professional organization for pediatric hematology/oncology nurses.  Its members are dedicated to promoting optimal nursing care for children and adolescents with cancer and their families. APHON hosts annual national conferences for educational and networking opportunities for pediatric hematology/oncology nurses around the country.
