Rule:

1. Each class should send a total of 4 boys and 4 girls as representatives for the starting lineup, and 2 boys and 2 girls for the backup.
2. The competition lasts for 12 minutes, with two halves of the game, each lasting for 6 minutes.
3. There is a 1-minute pause in between the two halves of the game.
4. There will be 1 chance of substituting a player (not including "ghost players") in each half of the game.
5. If time is up and two teams have the same score, the ending time will be extended, and the team of the player who first hits a player on the opposite team wins.
6. Each team should send a representative and do rock-paper-scissors; the one who won starts the game. The process has to be done once more before time is extended.
7. If all players of one team are eliminated, that half of the game will be then ended.
8. At the start of each halves of the game, each team has to send a representative to the outside boundaries of the opposite team.
9. Every time when starting an offense, the offending player should raise the ball above his/her head, and then the judge will blow the whistle as a signal to start; once violated, the offense will be considered as invalid and the other team will be the offending team instead.
10. Players must not hold the ball for more than 5 seconds (after the whistle signal)
11. When the ball touches any part of the body of any player, and that the player cannot hold the ball tightly before it touches the ground, the player is eliminated, with the exception that the player cannot intentionally hit the ball and hold the ball afterwards (e.g. hitting the ball into mid-air using ones palm or knees).
12. If the opposing team member can hold the ball tightly with any part of his/her body, the ball is theirs.
13. An offense will be considered as invalid if it is after a rebounce.
14. Eliminated players should go to the outside boundaries of the opposing team, and its team should be the offensive side.
15. Players at the outside boundaries of opposing teams cannot stand at another edge.
16. Players shall not intentionally hit any body part above shoulders of opposing team members; if violated, the player will be punished and fouled.
17. In the case of the situation mentioned in rule no. 16, the right to attack will be given to the opposition.
18. Players of the same team are not allowed to pass the ball over four times. This rule does not apply where an offense is unsuccessful and the original team gets back the ball.
19. If more than one players are hit by a ball thrown by the opposition, only the first player to be hit will be eliminated.
20. The referees reserve the right to decide whether a player should be eliminated or not.
21. Should there be any dispute, Students' Union reserves the right to the final decision.
22. Should there be any inconsistency or ambiguity between the Chinese version and the English version of the rules, the Chinese version shall prevail.
