Cyclistic bike sharE Case Study
How to convert casual riders to annual members?
The goal of this Case Study was to find out how casual riders differ from Cyclistic annual members so that the fictional company could come up with strategies to convert more casual riders to annual members which would positively impact their overall growth in the future.
The first image (top left) represents average bike ride length per day for both types of riders, the second (bottom left) illustrates average ride length for riders per month and the last image (right) represents number of rides taken ever month.
Having taken all this into consideration along with certain other parameters (see images below), recommendations were provided to the company.
The data used was obtained from the Divvy case study by Kevin Hartman with all the proper permissions and licenses. It was then validated, cleaned and prepared for analysis.
This project was completed in R Studio using R -programming and Markdown to create the report.
The conclusions drawn from the data analysis process include: Having special prices during weekends and summer months, health based advertising towards the start of the year and targeted advertising of annual memberships to younger individuals.
