AuraSleep Privacy Policy

AuraSleep is designed for relaxation audio, layered mixes, and optional personal recordings. This policy explains the main data, permissions, and third-party services currently visible in the app.
1. Audio Library and Playback
The app may use bundled audio files and optional online audio URLs to provide sleep sounds. Online audio is used when you choose content that depends on a remote URL. Playback history, favorites, saved mixes, and similar library data may be stored locally on your device to make the app easier to use.
2. Personal Recordings
If you choose to record a custom sleep sound, microphone access is requested only after you tap the recording control. Recordings are saved on your device as part of your Sleep Music library. You can continue using the app if you deny microphone permission.
3. Notifications
Notification permission may be requested when you start playback or use playback-related features on supported Android versions. Notifications are used for playback controls or reminders where supported. You can deny notification permission and still use the core app experience.
4. Diagnostics and Configuration
AuraSleep includes Google Firebase services such as Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Remote Config. These services may process crash diagnostics, device or app identifiers, and configuration-related technical data to help improve app stability and support app features. Firebase Analytics is not currently bundled.
5. Advertising
AuraSleep may show ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). The advertising SDK may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived by Google services, ad interactions, diagnostics, and related technical data to deliver, measure, limit, and improve ads.Where required by law, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to provide consent controls for personalized or non-personalized ads. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and applicable U.S. states may see a consent form to manage their advertising preferences. You can change your choices at any time through the app's Settings → Ad privacy choices.You can also reset or delete your Android advertising ID from your device settings at any time.
6. Local Storage and App Preferences
AuraSleep stores data such as favorites, playback history, saved mixes, onboarding state, timing preferences, and user settings on your device so the app can restore your experience.
7. Optional Services and Dependencies
The app build may include platform support dependencies and Firebase-connected services that are not required for the core sleep audio experience in every session. If those features are expanded in a future version, the relevant disclosures will be updated in the app, store materials, or privacy policy as needed.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Most AuraSleep data is stored locally on your device and is kept until you delete it, clear the app's storage in Android system settings, or uninstall the app. This includes favorites, playback history, saved mixes, settings, and personal recordings.
Custom recordings and saved mixes can be deleted from inside the app where those management options are available. If you want help deleting app-related data or have a privacy request, contact chenmerin@gmail.com.
Firebase Crashlytics and other Firebase technical service data may be retained according to Google's Firebase service policies and automatic retention periods.
9. Audio Credits
Some sleep audio may be sourced from Pixabay under the Pixabay License. Third-party libraries, icons, and media are credited where appropriate.
