Aura: The Flow Engine ("Aura", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding your data, specifically concerning the core functionality of our launcher application.
By installing and using Aura, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy.
Aura is designed as a privacy-first, offline-centric application.
We DO NOT collect, transmit, share, or sell your personal data.
We DO NOT use any tracking software, analytics tools, or advertising IDs.
All configurations, settings, and schedules you create within Aura remain securely on your device.
Aura requests the Android BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE permission. This permission is structurally critical for the App's core functionality, which revolves around reducing digital distraction through Contextual Modes (e.g., Deep Work, Calm).
When you activate a focus context, Aura utilizes the Notification Listener Service to actively monitor incoming notifications in real-time. This allows the App to temporarily intercept and suppress notifications from applications that you have not explicitly allow-listed for that specific context.
Strictly Local Processing: The intercepted notification data (such as the sending application's package name, the notification text, and the title) is processed entirely locally on your device's hardware.
Temporary Edge Database: When a notification is suppressed, its contents are temporarily logged into an encrypted, local, on-device SQLite database (Room) so that you can chronologically review what you missed in the "Flow Summary" screen after exiting your focus session.
Zero Transmission: At no point does the actual content of your notifications, sender details, or behavioral metadata leave your device. It is never transmitted to us, to any cloud server, or to any third party.
As a Home Launcher application, Aura requires the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission to fulfill its fundamental purpose: launching applications.
This permission is utilized exclusively to securely scan your device locally to populate the App Drawer and your contextual "Allow Lists."
We do not extract, transmit, or catalog your installed applications externally.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Since our application does not collect user contact information, we recommend you review this policy whenever updating the application.
Clearing App Data: Go to your device's Settings > Apps > Aura > Storage > Clear Data.
Uninstalling the App: Simply uninstall Aura from your device. Upon uninstallation, the Android operating system will automatically and permanently delete all locally stored data associated with the app.
