About Me
I’m a North Carolina-born/California-raised rising senior studying Communication & Film at Santa Clara University.
I have always had a passion for filmmaking, in both production and post-production. My path began by editing iMovie shorts with my siblings, but it sharpened in a two-year documentary program during high school. There, I learned to chase real moments documentary-style, master Adobe Premiere, and fall in love with post-production. I am particularly drawn to the art of editing—how pacing and sound design intertwine with visuals to tell a story. I have four years of experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, which I currently use in two jobs at my university, as well as experience with AVID. I have worked on numerous short student films, personal films, and promotional videos for Santa Clara’s Marketing and Athletic departments. Additionally, I have hands-on experience operating cameras for live sports broadcasts on national television.
In 2024 (my sophomore year), I founded Santa Clara University’s first student-run television organization, where I oversee production, directing, cinematography, and editing. As the leader of a 40+ member team, I ensure collaboration and high production value while also serving on the board as a development executive. Leading a crew from pitch to export has taught me lots about collaboration and fast-paced production, and I hope to build off these experiences as I head towards a career in production.
