“Beyond Representation: Building the Next Era of Women’s Leadership in Cambodia.”
The AUPP Community for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) successfully conducted a meaningful event, “Beyond Representation: Building the Next Era of Women’s Leadership in Cambodia.” This event was a collaboration between CSEAS, a student club at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP), and Women Peace Makers Organization (WPM), hosted at AUPP on March 17th, 2026. 🎓🤝✨
The event yielded key insights and sparked discussions about the role of women's leadership and decision-making, particularly highlighting gender equality in Cambodian women's participation in politics. From this crucial event, participants gained valuable perspectives from our distinguished panel of experts, including Ms. Cheng Chinneth, Director of the Gender Equality Department at the Ministry of Women’s Affairs; Ms. Suyheang Kry, Executive Director of Women Peace Makers; and Ms. Rotvatey Sovann, a gender and social inclusion consultant. 🎤👩⚖️🌍
Your presence was truly an honor for our club. On behalf of CSEAS, we would like to thank all participants, including panelists, professors, and students, for joining our event. We also extend our gratitude to our moderator, Prof. Marc Piñol Rovira , for leading a discussion that was both engaging and memorable. 🙏👏
Last but not least, we wish you all the best, prosperity, and continued success. We look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming event. 🌟💐📅
