BRIEF HISTORY
Arellano University, a private, coeducational and nonsectarian university in Manila, Philippines was established in 1938. Guided by its first philosophical framework, which is to promote faculty and students critical thinking and scientific problem solving through the use of reason, truth and knowledge is coursed through the establishment of its libraries. In 2001, in its desire to bring advancement to the library in lieu of the traditional setting, the university started to automate all of the library transactions in which various applications share one bibliographic database and by which each system comes with a set of core modules.
In 2007, a new library building was built to house the Arellano University Information Technology Resource Center. It occupied three floors of the Paulino Cayco Hall Building.
Today, the university library has moved forward unto making its library services adaptive to the needs of the virtual academic community and the new normal.
