Internship

As a student of the NAF Academy, I am required to serve an internship of over 80 hours over the course of my high school experience. I completed my hours the summer before junior year of high school.

Future Ready Engineers

With RTX and Raytheon, I completed a four-week internship on creating and prototyping a solution to a problem that we chose. My problem was the lack of clean freshwater in 3rd world countries, despite the high levels of rain. Countries like Sierra Leon and Myanmar get lots of rain, but it gets easily contaminated, and undrinkable by people. To solve this, I created the water-collecting and purifying umbrella. It collects water through the top, filters through the stem, and collects down by a water bottle at the base.

NAF Raytheon Proof of Hours

Proof of Hours: During the internship, our hours were logged on a third party website and uploaded directly to naftrack. This form logs the hours that I worked during the four week internship.

Since this internship was completed before the supervisor reflection form was a requirement, I have attached my supervisor's assessment for my skills during the internship as shown on naftrack.
