Effective date: September 16, 2026
Audeya is an audio visualizer and soundscape app made by Nolan Mayoss. The short version: Audeya collects nothing. Everything it does happens on your iPhone.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Nothing. Audeya has no accounts, no sign-in, no server, and makes no network connections at all. We do not collect, receive, store, share, or sell any personal data. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs, and sets no cookies.
MICROPHONE
If you choose the Mic source, Audeya asks for microphone access so the visuals can react to the sound around you. That audio is analyzed on your device, in the moment, to measure things like loudness, bass and beats. It is not transmitted anywhere, and it is not saved, with one exception that you control: if you press record while the Mic source is active, the sound the microphone hears becomes the audio track of the video you are recording. You can use Audeya without the microphone by using the Ambient source, a soundscape, or an audio file.
RECORDINGS AND PHOTOS
Videos you record are saved to your Photos library, which requires add-only Photos permission. Audeya cannot read or browse your existing photos or videos. Recordings and their thumbnails are also kept in the app's private storage on your device so they appear in your gallery, and they are removed when you delete them or delete the app.
AUDIO FILES
If you pick an audio file with the File source, Audeya reads that file on your device to play and visualize it. The file is never uploaded or shared.
SAVED EXPERIENCES AND SETTINGS
The looks you save and your settings are stored only on your device.
CHILDREN
Audeya does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
