This Privacy Policy describes how Audex: Video to MP3 Converter ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the application.
1. Information We Collect
The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, files, or usage data. All audio and video conversion happens entirely on your device — your files are never uploaded anywhere. The App does, however, display advertisements through Google AdMob, which may collect certain data as described below.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display ads (such as banner ads) within the App. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process data such as your Advertising ID, device information, general location derived from IP address, and app interaction data, which may be used to show relevant or personalized advertising. Where required (including in the EEA and UK), the App requests your consent for this data use through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent flow before any personalized ads are shown. This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Google's Partner Sites policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
3. File Access
The App uses Android's built-in System file picker (Storage Access Framework) to let you choose which video or audio files to convert. The App can only read the specific file(s) you select through this picker — it cannot browse or access any other files on your device without your explicit action. Converted output files are saved locally to the Music/Auu folder on your device, where they remain accessible to your music player and file manager.
4. Internet Access
The App requests Internet access solely to request and display advertisements through Google AdMob. Your files, conversion history, and any other content within the App are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared over this connection — audio/video conversion itself remains fully on-device.
5. Permissions
Beyond Internet access (used only for ads, as described above), the App requests no runtime permissions — no storage, microphone, camera, contacts, or location access. File selection and saving are handled entirely through Android's file picker and media storage APIs.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us using the details below.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
The App does not retain any of your files or usage data on our servers — we have none. Your conversion history and output files remain solely on your device, under your control; you can delete them at any time from within the App or your device's file manager. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained and managed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy.
8. Your Ad Choices
You can review or manage ad personalization at the device level via Settings > Google > Ads on Android, or opt out of interest-based advertising by visiting https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
