About Us

A.D.E. is aimed at specifically not shying away from the differences in learning. Too often, we are taught to look at differences as a negative. However, when you look at a farm, do you not expect to see fruit trees of all kinds? When you go to a zoo, do you expect to see the same kind of animal? Even when you think of cats, are there not different species? When a child applies to college, do they all apply to the same major? When a person applies for a job, do we expect them to all have the same employment?

If you answered “no” to any or all of these questions, let us ask ourselves why we expect every child to learn or even be the same. Why is it that when a child learns differently, we force the child and the parent to conform to a box when we allow them to “pick their box” when they get older?

A.D.E. brings Awareness and addresses underrepresented Youth and their families in Special Education to close the racial equity gap in Special Education.  We Destigmatize Learning Differences in Our Community.  Lastly, we Empower our families with the tools to embrace being Neurodiverse in this society.
