Auburn University Design, Build, Fly
The Auburn University Design, Build, Fly Team is a student-led engineering organization that designs, builds, and flies remote-controlled aircraft at the annual AIAA DBF competition. We bring together undergraduate and graduate students with a passion for hands-on engineering to apply skills learned in the classroom.
Our team operates like a real-world aerospace company, with dedicated subteams for aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, systems integration, and flight testing. Each year, we work through the entire engineering design process from conceptual sketches to fabrication and flight validation to deliver a competitive aircraft tailored to the unique mission requirements of the competition.
