About Us

Jennifer Casa-Todd and Leigh Cassell met online several years ago and became fast friends over their passion for digital citizenship, digital literacy, and showing teachers and students how to use technology in positive ways.

A few years ago on the way to a graduation ceremony, one of Jennifer's students Sahar, talked passionately about her work as an artist and her dream to one day illustrate a children’s book.

Fast forward to 2020, Leigh and Jennifer, who had collaborated on many online projects including @GlobalEdSsChat, wanted to write a story about the power the technology has to connect us. Recalling Sahar’s talents and her dream to illustrate a book, we got together to envision, plan, and finally write our first newly published children's book, Aubrey Bright in Stories That Connect Us.

Sahar Fermani's love of art has shined ever since she could pick up a pencil. She's always been known as the artsy one around school and around her family. Her love of art grew when she discovered the world of comics, graphic novels, and especially manga. This furthered her interest in story and character creating. Reaching high school was the time when her aspirations to illustrate children's books truly flourished. While working her way to get a proper art degree, she looks forward to taking the first steps into her art career and is truly thankful for this opportunity.
