This website is designed to serve the following purpose:
To acquaint faculty members, students and employees with library policies, procedures and general information.
To provide clear guidelines in managing the daily operations on the University Library.
To serve as a reference tool for all library personnel.
To serve as an aid in the orientation of freshmen and transferees.
The High School Library started rendering its service in 1946. Its first home was shared with the administration in a private residence called BOLINAO which was situated at the center of the town of Pasig under the directorship of Mrs. Lorenza O. de Jesus.
In 1949, Grade School and College Library started its operation. However, it just lasted for three years. Until it found its new home, thus, occupying the former Lily Apartments across the public high school in Caniogan, Pasig.
The school went ahead with its expansion program, acquiring a one-and-a-half-hectare lot in Pag-asa Street, Caniogan, Pasig bearing its official name, Andres Bonifacio High School in 1979. The High School and College Library occupied the two adjacent rooms at the second floor of the school’s four-storey building.
On June 15, 1987, the Grade School Department has re-opened, thus, the Grade School Library has resumed its operation.
To fully serve the students and faculty towards academic excellence through reading and research, the High School Library has been transferred to the new high school building sharing the same roof with the Grade School Library in 2007. Hence, College Library went to its expansion at the second floor of the school’s main building.
Over the years, the AU-Pasig Libraries continuously augment its collection of print and non-print materials to keep the school community updated on relevant information, news and events.
A CD-based application such as Microsoft Encarta 2008 is accessible at computer workstation in the library. The CD version includes the multimedia features including still and motion pictures, music, sound effects, spoken narration, archival information and other useful stuff.
On January 2014, marks the start of the automation of the Grade School and High School Library, new standalone library program software called Infolib Library Information System has been acquired. Internet access has been provided to give researchers a chance to “shop around” in the global information store.
On November 2015, the AU-Pasig Libraries adopt an alternative library information system, myRDA+, developed by Filipino librarian. It offers the most extensive set of modules, features and routines to automate library functions. This library system is primarily designed for use by librarians, information specialists and record managers.
With the advent of cutting-edge learning technologies, AU-Pasig Libraries are continuously finding new ways and means to be of better service to the school community.
