Professor Phillip McCalman is Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne and a leading scholar in international trade and economic policy. His research spans trade agreements, regulatory convergence, intellectual property rights, multinational firms, and the welfare effects of globalization. He has held visiting positions at institutions including Princeton University and has served as a Resident Scholar at the International Monetary Fund. Professor McCalman’s work has been published in leading journals such as Econometrica, the Journal of International Economics and European Economic Review, where his influential research has advanced understanding of modern trade agreements and the evolving structure of global markets.
