The UTEP campus' unique building architecture mirrors Bhutanese style, and the University has a special relationship with the country of Bhutan. The week of the conference UTEP is holding its Bhutan Days celebration. Click here for events on April 16 and 17.
The 2026 The Association of Teachers of Technical Writing hybrid conference will take place on April 17-18, 2026, online and in person at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP, Go miners!).

All conference presenters (hybrid & in-person) need to be registered by April 6, 2026, to appear on the program. Note: All students must be ATTW members to attend the conference at no cost. The cost for student membership is $22.00.

Reduced Registration-Retired and Contingent Faculty: $100.00
Students: Free (with $22 ATTW Membership)

Conference Schedule and Venue
The conference goes from 8:30 a.m. Mountain Time on Friday, April 17 through 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time on Saturday, April 18. Please check your information using the program link below and email any changes to norivera@ttu.edu.
Conference events will take place on the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) campus in the Union East Building (351 University Avenue). On Friday morning a number of panels will also be in Texas Western Hall, a few minutes walking from the Union Building--details to come in the program.
Meals
The following meals will be provided by ATTW:
Breakfast, Day 1 (provided by ATTW) @ TRCC (Tomas Rivera Conference Center, the main large room)
Breakfast, Day 2 (provided by ATTW) @ TRCC
Lunch, Day 2 (provided by ATTW) @ TRCC

For lunch on Friday, the Union Building offers the following options:

On campus there are also an Einstein's Bagels, Starbucks, and a Chick-Fil-A (10-minute walk). Also a 10-minute walk and off campus are the Hilton Garden Inn restaurant, Whataburger, Cazares Burritos, Kinley's Tea House (basic ramen), and another Starbucks.
