This Privacy Policy explains how HG Mobile Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Attune mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The App is provided by HG Mobile Apps. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@helloattune.app
Attune is built for two people. The core of the App is sharing certain content with the partner you pair with — for example, your check-in answers (revealed after you both respond), reactions, notes, shared-list items, and “thinking of you” pings. Anything you create for your partner in the App will be visible to that partner. Please keep this in mind before entering sensitive information.
Attune is not end-to-end encrypted. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest (see Section 8), but it is stored on our cloud infrastructure and is technically accessible to us and our service providers for the purposes described below.
a) Account information. When you create an account using Sign in with Apple or email, we collect an account identifier and your email address. If you use Sign in with Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive a private relay address rather than your real email. You may provide a display name.
b) Profile and relationship data. Information you add in the App, such as your display name, your anniversary or other dates you choose to track, your pairing/couple connection (which links your account to your partner’s), and your subscription status.
c) Content you create. Your check-in answers and reactions, conversation responses, notes, shared-list items, and pings. As noted above, this content is shared with your paired partner.
d) Purchase and subscription information. If you buy Attune Premium, the purchase is processed by Apple, not us — we do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive and verify transaction information (such as a transaction identifier and subscription status) to grant and maintain access to premium features.
e) Device and technical data. To deliver notifications and operate the service, we process a push-notification token, device and app version information, and standard log/diagnostic data (such as IP address and timestamps) generated by our infrastructure providers.
We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, or health data, and we do not run advertising in the App.
If you later add analytics, crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics), or any SDK that collects additional data, update this section and your App Store privacy label accordingly.
We use the information above to:
create and manage your account and partner pairing;
provide the core features (check-ins, reveals, conversation starters, notes, shared list, pings, anniversaries, history);
send push notifications you’ve enabled (e.g., when your partner has responded);
process and verify subscriptions and grant premium access;
maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug and improve the App;
respond to your support requests;
comply with legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the App you signed up for); consent (e.g., for push notifications, which you can disable anytime); legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the App); and legal obligation where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
We share information only as follows:
With your partner — content you create in the App is shared with the partner you pair with, as that is the App’s purpose.
With service providers that operate the App on our behalf, under contract:
Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) — hosting, storage, and notifications. See Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and Firebase data disclosures: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store / StoreKit purchase processing. See Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
For legal reasons — if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.
In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App.
You can delete your data:
In the App — you can unpair from your partner and delete your account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated content from our active database.
By request — email us at support@helloattune.app and we will delete your account and personal data, except information we must retain for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Note that content already revealed to or saved by your partner may remain in their account; deleting your account does not delete your partner’s separate copy of shared content where applicable. Backups may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and server-side database security rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our infrastructure providers may process and store data on servers located in the United States or other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers’ equivalent transfer mechanisms.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents (under the CCPA/CPRA) have rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale/sharing (note: we do not sell or share as defined above), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, contact support@helloattune.app. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Attune is intended for adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. (Ensure this aligns with the age rating you set in App Store Connect.)
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
