FAQs
How can I apply to become a collaborator?
To apply, plase complete this form. You’ll be asked to share details about your potential contributions, such as adapting experimental stimuli, recruiting participants, conducting pilot studies, or assisting with ethical approvals.
Can you tell me more about the experimental design?
The study involves a 10-minute online survey designed to measure preferences for political extremes, similar to the experimental design used in Study 1 of this paper. While the survey has already been developed and validated, collaborators will be involved in:
Adapt experimental stimuli to fit local cultural and political contexts.
Conduct pilot studies to ensure the validity of the adapted stimuli (N = 50).
Assist with the Institutional Review Board or ethical approval requirements in your country.
Recruit participants to meet the target sample size of N = 200 per country.
How will participants be recruited?
Participants can be recruited through local recruitment platforms or other culturally appropriate methods specific to your country. We are open to discussing the recruitment strategies that best suit your local context. Collaborators are encouraged to aim for a diverse and representative sample, ensuring a balance in gender, political ideology, and other relevant demographic factors to enhance the study's cross-cultural validity and comparability.
What if I am not able to fund data collection?
While we hope that researchers could fund running the study, funding is available based on specific needs and circumstances. If you require funding or have any concerns, please provide details at the end of the form, and we will explore potential solutions.
