I do not use AI in my research. I have many personal reasons for this, some of which I detail here. I also believe that traditional journals should not allow the publication of papers in which AI played a coauthor-level role, and that new venues should be established to host such papers; I argue for this point here. I encourage reading this essay of Tasmin Chu and this statement of Vladimir Lazić, and encourage anyone concerned about AI in mathematics to join the Association for Human Mathematics.
