AttendanceBook — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
AttendanceBook is an attendance and wage-tracking app. This page explains
what data the app handles and how it's used. There is no company or server
behind this app — it's an independent, single-developer project.
DATA THE APP STORES
Everything you enter — trackers, attendance marks, wage/salary settings,
and report exports — is stored only on your device, in a local database.
This data is never sent to the developer or to any third party. No account
or sign-up is required to use the app.
OPTIONAL GOOGLE DRIVE BACKUP
The app has an optional, opt-in feature to back up your data to your own
Google Drive account. If you turn this on:
- You sign in with your Google account using Google's own sign-in flow.
- The app requests only the drive.appdata permission scope — a private
storage area tied to this app that does not appear in your regular
Drive files and that no other app can read.
- Your backup data goes directly from your device to your own Google
Drive account. The developer has no access to it, no copy of it, and
no server that it passes through.
- You can disconnect at any time from within the app, or by revoking
AttendanceBook's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which also
deletes the backup data stored in that private area.
PERMISSIONS THE APP REQUESTS
- Notifications — to show the daily attendance reminder you configure.
- Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — so that reminder fires at the exact
time you set, rather than being delayed.
- Run at startup — to re-schedule your reminder after the device restarts.
- Internet — used only for the optional Google Drive backup feature above;
the app has no network activity otherwise.
WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
- No advertising, and no ad SDKs.
- No analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No data is sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party.
- No account, profile, or personal identity is collected by the app itself.
DELETING YOUR DATA
- Uninstalling the app removes its local data.
- Disconnecting Google Drive (in-app, or via your Google account
permissions page) removes the backup data.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly
collect data from them.
