Jesus!

Saying sorry is always a good action. It helps us feel better and be at peace with others.

During mass we say sorry to God.

When we are truly sorry, we promise not to sin again.

We are sorry because we hurt each other, and at the same time, we hurt ourselves.

We are sorry because we hurt our relationship with God.

So...We promise to try not to sin again

The first thing we do in mass, after the sign of the cross - is called the penitential act.... which means - saying sorry.

Here is how this is done:-

which says that we confess to God and even to others, that we have sinned and we ask for forgiveness.

God gave us many ways to confess our mistakes and to be forgiven!

God loves us so much that he gave us many ways to get rid of our sins and be happy again!

This one is the best of them all.... SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION

When we go to confess, the priest forgives our sins in the name of God....which means.....God Himself forgives our sins!

This year you are preparing to receive the First Holy Communion and so you will also prepare for your first confession. I'm sure it will be a nice experience for you all!

How to confess....

Learn this prayer which we use during mass and during confession and every time you feel you did something very wrong....so you ask God to forgive you.
