The name "SILK on VALLEY YAMAGA" means the desire and determination to revive the Japanese sericulture and silk industry from Yamaga, located in the valley surrounded by mountains, and to make a breakthrough as a global silk industry base. The SILK on VALLEY YAMAGA project is expected to have the following four effects.
The SILK on VALLEY YAMAGA project contributes not only to the effect of increasing direct employment at the Year-round sterile sericulture facility but also to the creation of towns, people, and work in Yamaga City, and to become a model for regional revitalization. Also, we will establish a new silk industry as a business by conducting various public cooperation from countries, prefectures, cities, and jointly working with top companies in Japan from market development to controlling commercial distribution.
This research field plays the role of "study" and is involved in the SILK on VALLEY YAMAGA project, contributing to industry-academia collaboration and regional revitalization.
