Breakdown
As a collaborative effort, our team drew inspiration from various references to create two compelling concept artworks.
We seamlessly integrated 3D digital tools with 2D composition techniques to bring these scenes to life. For a deeper understanding of our process, we've included progress photos and breakdowns.
While these represent our initial foray into 2D composition, we're no strangers to composition work in general. While we're satisfied with the outcome, we're continuously striving for improvement. While we currently don't offer services specific to concept artwork, we're always looking to enhance our skills.
The rocks and general structures were pieced together in Blender, giving me a proper foundation to work with, while all of the 2D composition was done via Paint.Net.
These artworks were made primarily with a process known as ' photo bashing', which is compiling either black and white or full-color images of any detail, lighting, and resolution, and manipulating the images to fit your scene through means of composition.
