Physics Society ‘Atomica’ was formed in the year 2018 by the faculty members of  Department of Physics, C.M.P. College, Prayagraj. The purpose to form the society was to create a separate platform, other than classroom teaching and learning, to discuss various innovations in Physics and to bring out hidden qualities of students by organising science based co-curricular activities like seminar, debate, quiz, poster competition, project making etc. 

The affairs of the Society are managed by an Executive Committee consisting of the following four faculty members as office bearers viz. President, Vice President, Treasurer and executive member and six Student members viz. one student Secretary from post graduate classes, and other five representatives from undergraduate classes. The Executive Committee have ten members in all. 

All the student members of Executive Committee are elected by the students of their respective classes.
