Sang Hyun Kim received a B.S. degree (Summa Cum Laude) in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 2007, and a Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2013.
In 2020, he joined the School of Air Transport, Transportation, and Logistics at Korea Aerospace University, as an assistant professor. Prior to that, he was an associate research fellow at the Korea Transport Institute from 2014 to 2018, and a senior researcher at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute from 2018 to 2020. His research interests include engineering analysis using optimization, scheduling, and probabilistic modeling techniques in aerospace and transportation systems such as air transportation systems.
Dr. Kim served the International Civil Aviation Organization as an advisor in the field of air traffic management for several years.
Jemima Louise Kamese
Jemima Louise Kamese received a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering from Pusan National University in 2021 and an M.S. degree in air transportation from KAU in 2023. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in the School of Air Transport, Transportation, and Logistics at KAU. Her research interests are airport operations, airspace capacity analysis, and air traffic flow management.
이건우 Geonwoo Lee
Geonwoo Lee received a Bachelor's degree from Sydney University in 2013. He has 10 years of working experience in the Republic of Korea Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in the School of Air Transport, Transportation, and Logistics at KAU.
서정수 Jeongsu Seo (part-time)
Jeongsu Seo is a Ph.D. student at the Graduate School of KAU. He received a master's degree from Inje University Graduate School of Business in 2005. He holds flight dispatcher and air traffic controller certificates and works as a flight dispatcher for Asiana Airlines. His research focuses on operational aspects of flight dispatch, aviation law, and modelling for optimal decision-making of operations control center.
박준석 Junseok Park (part-time)
Junseok Park earned his M.S. degree from the College of Engineering at KAU in 2025 and is currently enrolled as a part-time Ph.D. student in the Graduate School of Future Air Mobility. His research interests include GNSS-based navigation and mid-air collision avoidance for aircraft operating in low-altitude airspace.
정유민 Yumin Joung (part-time)
Yu-Min Joung is a Ph.D. student at the graduate school of KAU. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Hanseo University in aerospace software engineering in 2019 and an M.S. degree in advanced air transportation from KAU in 2025. She holds the licenses of aircraft dispatcher (FAA/TS), ground instructor(FAA), and drone pilot certificate. She is currently developing safety verification technology for OPPAV/UAM aircraft at the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology.
신민지 Minji Shin
Minji Shin is an M.S. student of air transportation at KAU. She graduated from Seoul Tech and majored in civil engineering. Her research interests are UAM route scheduling and operational procedures.
박성우 Sung Woo Park
Sung Woo is an M.S. student at Korea Aerospace University. He holds a pilot certificate for ultra-light vehicles. He is interested in safety analysis and vertiport location determination.
박다영 Dayeong Park
Dayeong Park is an M.S. student in Future Air Transportation at KAU. She received her B.S. degree in Aerospace Industrial & Systems Engineering and Air Transport from Hanseo University. She also holds an aircraft dispatcher license and was working at the Korea Civil Aviation Association.
강정민 Jungmin Kang
Jungmin Kang is an M.S. student at Korea Aerospace University. He graduated from Hanseo University and majored in Unmanned Aircraft System. He is interested in mixed operation of manned and unmanned aircraft.
김제연 Jeyeon Kim
Jeyeon Kim is an M.S. student at Korea Aerospace University. He graduated from KAU with a major in air transportation. He is interested in UAM operations simulation and demand forecasting.
전재욱 Jae Wook Chun (part-time)
Jaewook Chun is an M.S. student of air transportation at KAU. He received a B.S. degree in air transport from KAU in 2022. He holds a license of aircraft dispatcher (FAA/TS). He currently works as a researcher at the Institute for Aerospace Industry-Academia Collaboration.
배지헌 Jiheon Bae (part-time)
Jiheon Bae is an M.S. student of air transportation at KAU. He received a B.S. degree in flight operations and aeronautical science from Hanseo University in 2019. He holds a commercial pilot license from the U.S. He currently works as a researcher at Korea Transport Institute.

Sanghyun Park is an M.S. student of air transportation at KAU. He received a B.S. degree in air transport from KAU in 2018. He holds a license of Air Traffic Controller Certificate. He currently works as an Air Traffic Controller at Seoul Approach. His research interests are UAM departure and approach procedure and UAM Separation from conventional Air Traffic.
신웅섭 Oungseob Shin (part-time)
Oungseob Shin is an M.S. student in Air Transportation at KAU. He received a B.S. degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from KAU in 2020 and holds an FAA Private Pilot Certificate. Currently, he works as a researcher at the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology.
문광표 Gwangpyo Moon (part-time)
Gwangpyo Moon is an M.S. student of future air transportation at KAU. He received a B.S. degree in air transport from Hanseo University. He holds an air traffic controller certificate and an engineer meteorology certificate. He currently works as an apron controller at the Incheon International Airport Corporation.
백리라 Lyra Baek (part-time)
Lyra Baek is an M.S. student of air transportation at KAU. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Hanseo University in air transportation in 2014. She holds the license of aircraft dispatcher and previously worked as a flight dispatcher. Currently, she is a researcher at the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement(KAIA), leading the development project of safety management core technology for K-UAM, focusing on vertiport operations and UAM infrastructure integration.
한상혁 Sanghyok Han (leave of absence)
Sanghyok Han was an M.S. student in the ATM@KAU. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the KAU in 2020 with a B.S. degree in aeronautical science & flight operation. During his undergraduate studies, he had an opportunity to receive flight training in Florida and obtained a commercial pilot certificate. His research interests lie in airport capacity, air traffic flow management, and aircraft energy management.
