Bigg Boss is based on the Dutch series Big Brother format developed by John de Mol. A number of contestants known as "housemates" live in a purpose-built house and are isolated from the rest of the world. Each week, housemates nominate two of their fellow housemates for eviction, and the housemates who receive the most nominations would face a public vote. Eventually, one housemate would leave after being "evicted" from the House. In the final week, there were five housemates remaining, and the public voted for who they wanted to win. Unlike other versions of Big Brother, the Indian version uses celebrities as housemates, In season two, Bigg Boss team had selected three common people as contestants from the auditions.

The series is also set to roll out a digital version of the show called Bigg Boss Non-Stop, which is also going to be hosted by Nagarjuna and broadcast by Disney+ Hotstar for 247 coverage.[20][21][22]

Every actor gave their best in their respective roles. Antony, Kishore, and Sheela are more impactful, and one would connect well with these characters. Also, the caste discrimination and scenes related to this are nicely shown. The comedy track that comes in the fifth episode is a huge relief in this seriously driven series.

The series moves at a very slow pace for the most part of the time. Some episodes are very boring, and the narration is also flat. Whenever the sport element is brought in, the series becomes interesting, but right after that, some underwhelming scenes come into the picture.

As the story moves forward, the show turns highly predictable. The ending episode is very rushed, and it is more cinematic too. The series could have been even better if it was wrapped up in 6-7 episodes.

On the whole, the Jallikattu series focuses on various facets like love, revenge, and hunger for power. The makers tried to bind these elements with Jallikattu sport. While a few episodes are watchable, a few are boring. The sluggish narration works against the show big time. If you love watching rural dramas, Jallikattu ends up being just an okay watch this weekend.

VJ Sunny of Bigg Boss Telugu fame is impressive and he gives his best. His attitude and makeover worked out well. His dialogue delivery is also good and he has a bright future in the coming days. Harsha played by Roiel Shree is one of the interesting characters in the series and the director designed his character well.

Director Chandra Mohan tried his best to make the series an amazing one. He should have concentrated more on the screenplay as this kind of heist story needs an engaging and racy screenplay to excite audiences more.

On the whole, ATM series, written by Harish Shankar, is an okayish heist thriller that works in parts. Though VJ Sunny and Subbaraju performed well, the series fails to engage audiences because of its sluggish narration in the first few episodes. If you are okay with some unnecessary scenes and lag, you can stream the series this weekend.

Sankranti saw a race between Chiru and Balayya, with both their movies releasing at same time. While Chiru's Sneham Kosam, a remake of Tamil movie Natpukagga was a success, it was Balayya who emerged the Sankranti winner, with Samarasimha Reddy emerging as a sensational blockbuster. The movie and it's dialogues remain popular even now, and it broke Balayya's streak of flops. It also sparked off a series of similiar Rayalaseema backdrop faction movies- Narasimha Naidu, Indra, Samba, Chennakesava Reddy, Adi to come.

The six-episode series, with each episode lasting 25-35 minutes, is filled with multiple characters across social strata who drive the narrative forward. A woman who repeatedly visits the police station to enquire about her missing husband, an elderly couple that runs from pillar to post to fight for their usurped farmland and an ailing elderly man and his granddaughter are some of the characters facing the apathy of local governance in the story. There is overt predictability in the arcs of these characters. We know that their situation will go from bad to worse and may become the reason for some pivotal characters to take on the negative forces.

Newer characters keep popping up, each with a backstory or a quirk. The hard-nosed cop Edwin (Nanda Gopal) adds to the drama. One of the things that work in favour of Newsense is its casting. Bindu Madhavi as an aspiring television reporter who wants the spotlight, the actors who play the parts of the stringers and the political heavyweights give the series the authenticity it requires.
