Brazos Starr is a Native American, Texas composer who specializes in creating soundscapes that tell stories. Ensembles and instruments Starr has composed for include choir, big band, marimba, string quartet, piano, and many two-instrument combos. Starr is currently getting his Bachelor of Music Composition at Stephen F. Austin State University where he studies under Robert J Coe. Having previously studied with Dr. Chad Robinson for two years, Starr works with Dr. Robinson's non-profit organization Texas New Music Ensemble located in Houston, Texas selling tickets and managing the stage during performances. Starr's current project is a flute and marimba piece titled "The Isle" that will be performed at Stephen F. Austin State University's fall composition studio recital.
