We are an Alternative Spring Break group from the University of Iowa. Our group traveled to Atlanta, Georgia in order to experience service learning centered around the LGBTQ+ community.

Background

Atlanta is the capital of Georgia. The population of the Atlanta metropolitan area is 5,789,700, making it one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States. It is an extremely diverse city that played a major role in the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s.
