lead·er·ship
/ˈlēdərˌSHip/
noun
the action of leading a group of people or an organization.
Coltin: This service trip allowed me to grow in terms of leadership, both externally and personally. Each community partner we volunteered at possessed unique goals that we worked towards together; This differentiated from my previous leadership experiences as I usually delegated and oversaw the process.
Hope: During my experience in Atlanta, I had the opportunity to see myself as a leader in a new light. Servant leadership is different than leadership because you put the focus on the people instead of yourself and your goals. By focusing on the people, meaningful relationships are built and leadership to create change becomes more effective.
Celine: This alternative spring break trip to Atlanta gave me the opportunity to experience what it's like to be an effective leader that inspires and elevates my fellow team members. Finding and utilizing the different strengths in each member created a better team dynamic and elevates the group as a whole.
