I am Atiya Tahira Tasnim, a young woman in STEM from Bangladesh, which is a small developing nation. Earlier in the year 2022, I graduated from the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, a renowned public university in Bangladesh, under the School of Life Sciences. Currently, I am an MS student with the same affiliation and the degree will be conferred by the end of this academic year. Being a Life Science student, I learned to explore life even when there are little or no chances. This enthusiasm for knowing the unknown and seeing the unseen has always pushed me to grab every opportunity I achieved as an undergraduate.
Moreover, my passion for Life Sciences rewarded me with interests in cancer biology, immunotherapy, and drug development. Although in Bangladesh there is a limited opportunity for women or girls to research these fields, I think I will be able to break all boundaries and reach my goals. And the first step will be achieving a deep knowledge regarding my interests by completing a Ph.D. So, right now, I am in search of ingenious Ph.D. opportunities. Well, I may not be an optimist, but my keenness to learn Biology made me a believer in myself.
However, to know more about me and my origin, research experiences, awards, thoughts, and also the most recent activities, keep exploring this website. You are cordially welcome!
