With over two decades of leadership experience in strategic communication, social behavior change and public advocacy, I have worked extensively on national and international assignments with some of the most renowned international aid and humanitarian organisations. My professional journey includes working with the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (formerly Department for International Development), the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Johns Hopkins University (JHU), and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
Most recently, I served as Section Chief, leading Public Advocacy and Communication at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, I engaged with a diverse range of global stakeholders to address environmental challenges and advance sustainable development.
My expertise include strategy development, organisational building, and leveraging diverse media platforms for impactful communication. I specialise in communication research, partnership building, knowledge management, and advocacy, ensuring that evidence-based practices drive international development communication.
I have also led pioneering initiatives that harness information and communication technologies to achieve development goals, delivering measurable impact across cultural contexts. Complementing my practical experience, I hold a doctorate in International Development Studies from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. My research explored the role of ideation in policymaking from a global perspective.
