The mission of this micro-learning series is to advance awareness, understanding, and engagement in cutting-edge transportation research led by the Alabama Transportation Institute (ATI). Through accessible, interdisciplinary learning experiences grounded in ATI’s core pillars—Automated, Connected, Electric, Shared, and Safe (ACES²) Mobility—we aim to illuminate how emerging technologies and integrated systems are shaping the future of transportation.

This initiative is designed not only to build foundational knowledge, but also to strengthen a scalable workforce development pipeline by connecting research concepts to real-world applications, professional learning opportunities, and high-demand career pathways. By equipping learners with relevant knowledge and context, the series prepares and empowers participants to actively engage in ATI programs and contribute to the next generation of talent in transportation, infrastructure, and mobility industries.
