Teacher.

A teacher is a person who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence or virtue. The primary role of a teacher is to deliver classroom instruction that helps students learn. In addition to ensuring that students experience academic success, teachers must also function as surrogate parents, mentors and counselors, and even almost-politicians. There is almost no limit to the roles a teacher may play.

Teachers are arguably the most important members of our society. They give children purpose, set them up for success as citizens of our world, and inspire in them a drive to do well and succeed in life.
