This is the Traditional Algorithm (standard) way to multiply 2 and 3 digit by 2 digit numbers.
This strategy is the one students tend to use the most. It is organized and the most visual strategy. We start by making the area model a rectangle with the amount of boxes based on the digits. Then multiply across the row and up. Then add each partial product.
Is used to break the numbers up to make two smaller multiplications and then add the partial products together.
