There are 6 main resources found in the game:
Manpower - the labour needed to perform almost any action in the game.
Food and Rations - the source of longevity and health which ensures the survival of your Manpower.
Materials - used for building, repairing and resourcing special Events.
Oil - a highly rare and sought after fuel.
Weapons - implements of violence and safety, used to protect your Manpower.
Tools - implements of ingenuity and progression, used to boost you Manpower in their actions.
Finally, and significantly different to the other Resources, comes Loyalty. Loyalty is a fluid number, recorded by the Moderators and presented on the Game Dashboard during the event.
The Loyalty of a Creed is the maximum cap of how many Manpower tokens the players may possess. If Loyalty has dropped, Mods will take Manpower tokens away; if it’s increased, they will give you new tokens.
Loyalty is the most volatile resource and can be influenced by almost every part of the game.
All members of the Tribe need to eat, making Food/Rations one of the most valuable assets in the game. The two sound very similar, but there’s a very simple explanation of how they differ.
Food refers to a Card that players can find and hold in the game. It is labelled as Food and has a quantity on it (for example, 5). That card can be used in two ways:
The important differentiation to note, however, is that Rations are worth double what their equivalent Food would be worth. That is, each 1 Food is processed into 2 Rations.
The decision around Food, then, is one of ownership: do you keep the raw food to yourself for use in emergencies, or do you hand it over to Government control in order to double the people it can feed?
