The Curator

Overview

As Curator, your role is to coordinate the efforts of the Government (the Overseers) and guide the Colony to a brighter future. Your power is not absolute, but it does come close. With a sturdy Government backing you, there’s no limits to what you can achieve!

As Curator, you have several key responsibilities:

1. Appoint, direct and manage the Overseers
2. Make the final decision on numerous events, for the sake of the Colony’s prosperity
3. Enact or Repeal Truths
4. Ensure your Overseers are doing their jobs appropriately
5. Approving the Reconciliation at the start of each Term

Your role is one of representation, leadership and decision-making.

Don't forget - just because your Creed is now Curator, you can still do all the usual actions that other Creeds can (resource buildings and events, go on expeditions, etc)

Your Cabinet

The first action you are expected to take when sworn into Office of the Curator is to select your Overseers. You may follow any logic to conclude which Creeds are suited to these jobs, though it’s worth considering your political allegiances and those of your neighbours, as well as the strengths and weaknesses you've borne witness to.

The Overseer roles can be summarised as the below:

Prosperity (Resources and Recordkeeping)

• Monitors the Colony’s resources.
• Executes the Reconciliation each Term.
• Track Government Resources.

Resilience (Exploration and Defence)

• Monitors and recruits people to the Militia Hall.
• Controls which structures are provided with Power each Term.
• Picks the destination of Expeditions.

Progression (Research and Construction)

• Selects the outcome of any Research actions.
• Decides what construction jobs are to occur each Term.
