As Overseer of Prosperity, your role is to ensure the Colony is adequately resourced and its governance processes are robust. Aside from supporting the Curator in any way you can, your Creed has three key priorities while holding this Office.
Once per Term you may approach the Government Moderator and indicate a monitoring task. This investigation will require dice rolling and can target up to 5 Creeds.
Depending on the roll of a die, you may be informed by the Government Moderator of the current inventory associated with members of that Creed. This feedback might be vague (such as ‘small amount of Food, but a number of Weapons’ ) but it will nonetheless assist in your other record keeping duties.
Use this ability wisely, though - all Creeds investigated are likely to know what’s occurred, and may not hold your subtle methods to their liking.
Note: investigating Creeds in this way will not account for members of the target Creeds who are currently away on an Expedition.
Via the production buildings within the Colony (like the Kitchens and the Scrapper), pooled resources are produced known as Government Resources.
Unlike most others, these resources are not tracked via Cards or Tokens. Instead, these resources are tracked as simple numbers on a Tracking Sheet which - you guessed it - is your responsibility to maintain.
It is at your discretion, as Overseer, how best to manage this recordkeeping exercise.
Finally, and (arguably) most importantly, your role in the Government is to manage the regular Reconciliation.
The Reconciliation process is detailed here.
The role you and your Creed members play in this process is entirely up to you - while you are provided the formal Reconciliation Ledger, all other record keeping and methodology is up to you.
Despite having other responsibilities to see through, it’s recommended that some of your non-Reconciliation time is spent monitoring and scoping out the state of the other Creeds in preparation for this monumental event.
