Post-doc
Küçükköylü is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the TUBITAK-RUTE supported by our 2232 Project. He obtained his Ph.D. from Gebze Technical University, Gebze. His Ph.D. dissertation was evolved around polymeric cathodes for next-generation Lithium Sulfur batteries. His Ph.D. scholarship was supported by the TUBITAK BIDEB National Scholarship Program from Ph.D. students 2211-C and the Turkish Higher Education Council’s 100/2000 Ph.D. fellowship program. Currently, Küçükköylü’s research areas have the design and development of cathodes, silicon anodes, and 3D current collectors for next-generation batteries.
Senior Ph.D. Candidate
Taşkın is a Ph.D. candidate in the field of energy storage in the chemistry department of Gebze Technical University. He is currently conducting research on aqueous Zn-ion batteries, and has also carried out studies in the fields of conductive polymer, metallic coating and corrosion. He worked as a metal coating and wastewater treatment plant manager in a private company for about 3 years.

Master of Science Student
Zeynep Nur is working in our project which was recently funded by the M-ERA-NET under Horizon Europe Program. The project entitled ''Mastering Electrode Surface to Achieve Ultra-High Reversible Capacity- MASTER''. The MASTER aims to advance a new concept for the surface design of electrode materials to achieve reversible capacities that approach the theoretical ones:
The specific objectives are: (i) to understand the reactions at the electrode surfaces that currently prevent achieving the theoretical capacity; (ii) to exploit this knowledge to facilitate the elaboration of high-performance electrodes; (iii) to integrate the surface-modified electrodes into a full Na-ion battery.
M.Sc. Student
Erdem is our newest M.Sc. student. He got his B.Sc. degree from Chemistry Education in 2024. He will be working on micro battery project funded by YÖK-ADP. The project title is TINY BUT MIGHTY MICROBATTERIES FOR POWERING INTERNET OF THINGS.
