ATEM Mini can provide full control of your cameras right from the ATEM Software Control app! Simply connect a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera to your ATEM Mini to get full camera control! All control communication is via HDMI so there's no setup! Control the tally light, white balance, ISO and shutter as well as the iris, focus and zoom on supported lenses. There's even a DaVinci primary color corrector built into the camera, so you can go well beyond simple camera color balance as you can innovate with digital film looks in your live production. Software control allows a traditional CCU layout or a DaVinci color corrector layout. For advanced use you can add an ATEM Camera Control Panel.

Setting up for new jobs is easy with ATEM Software Control! Switcher settings are logically organized so you can change them quickly. By default the ATEM Mini will automatically select its video standard based on the device plugged into input 1, however you can also change the switcher video standard to any specific 720 HD and 1080 HD video standard. You can also customize input labels that will be used to track sources when used on external hardware panels or ATEM Software Control. Even the multiview can be customized including program/preview arrangement, audio meters and more! You can even control HyperDecks for remote trigger and use them for motion media playback!

Producing large live events such as sports, concerts, worship services, and educational events requires a high performance team of multiple creative people working seamlessly together. ATEM Mini's ethernet connection means multiple control panels can be used all at the same time. You can run multiple copies of ATEM Software Control where different people can switch, manage media, mix audio and control cameras, all on different computers so they don't interfere with each other while working. Even hardware panels can be added for the best workflow for when you're working on a big live event. You can even run software remotely over the internet from any location on the planet!

I know you can control an ATEM mini via IP if the switcher and the software are on the same network, but could you connect to the ATEM mini software remotely, from another location/another network to remotely control the ATEM mini from a distance?

Presenter is using ATEM Mini from his home office with the ATEM Mini plugged into his network via ethernet cable. Producer is at another location from his home office and wants to control the Presenter's ATEM Mini.

I'm using the atem software maximized on a laptop with a 1366 x 768 resolution. When I'm connected to the switcher and looking at the audio sliders, the sliders are scaled-down vertically to the point where they're unusable. I can't discern the levels and I can't use the sliders. The only workaround seems to be to not run the program in a window and stretch the window out and then move it off the screen enough to see the sliders. It's not ideal.

Mix-iT is a compact, versatile control panel for all Blackmagic Design ATEM switchers. It features 31 illuminated broadcast quality buttons, a fader and 4 rotary buttons, to effortlessly control these great switchers.

All input buttons and both the program and preview bus can be mapped to suiting your personal needs. Besides that, the direct control of ATEMs built-in MediaPlayers is one of the unique Mix-iT features. Macros let you automate a sequence of switcher actions that can be recalled with the press of a single button.

I'm thinking about offloading some of the load of video switching to a dedicated piece of hardware, that I'd ideally be able to control via the midi out from isadora allowing me to create my scenes and any more exotic cuing or effects work there.

I'm aware that some people on the wilds of the internet have had some success getting the atem mini to play nicely with midi control panels so it shouldn't be a huge leap to get some midi outs from isadora to do the same.

but has anyone on here done it, and do you have any "best practice advice" or warnings?

In theory it should be possible to control your ATEM with Isadora via OSC and Companion on Windows, but I've never managed to get it to work, probably due to my lack of knowledge of OSC.

Happy to help you get this going in any way that I can!

I should also add that I've had total success using Kramer switchers such as the VS-42HDMI and VS-41H to switch HDMI sources from within Isadora using TCP/IP commands.

These things are dirt cheap secondhand and very reliable. If you go down this route I can give you all the assistance you might need to get it going.

Am just keen to get the ATEM going as an Isadora controlled switcher as a) it connects to the computer via USB and Isadora sees it as a webcam, so I can eliminate a Blackmagic Capture device from my setup and b) the ATEM is very good at taking a variety of input sources (eg 25p, 50i, etc) and sending a consistent 1080p signal out.

I have only used arduino for a week now but would be very grateful if someone is able to provide any support on the following code. I am needing to control an ATEM television studio via an arduino one with the triggers of the arduino via HTTP commands. The HTTP commands are triggered via a AV control system. e24fc04721
