The document of Declaration of Independence (The Want, Will and Hopes of the People) of United States of America of July 4, 1776 had unambiguously stated that all men (human being) “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…”.
As per World Happiness Report, 2020, the person who evaluated himself/ herself happiest in Finland (and thus in the World) recorded 7.8/ 10. The person who evaluated himself/ herself least happy in Afghanistan (and thus in the World ) recorded 2.57/10.
Thus, there is none today on this planet who is completely happy or completely unhappy, as per World Happiness Report, 2020. Of course, the World Happiness Report has a methodology issue. It uses Cantril Ladder, as a measure, which is not only subjective but also episodic.
That brings us to the question:
Can everyone be happy?
Yes. There is an ancient science of happiness which needs be revived, adopted and applied.
This portal aims to explore, revive, promote that ancient science of happiness, HAPPINESS WITHOUT PROPS, where happiness is more a matter of personal knowledge, understanding and realization than external props and national and international bodies and agencies.

Sat Parashar, PhD is the Founder of Happiness Without Props. He has been in teaching, training, research and consultancy in the field of finance, money and banking. He has worked and lived in diverse cultures of South Asia, Middle East and North America. He has held senior academic and administrative positions including Head, Center for Banking, and Center for Research, BIBF, Bahrain (2008-11); Director, IIM Indore, India (2004-08); Senior Faculty and Head of Research and Studies, Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, Sharjah, UAE (1999-2004); IFCI Golden Jubilee Chair Professor of Finance, MDI, Gurgaon, India (1996-99). He currently teaches Money and Banking at the Rady School of Management, University of California, San Diego, California, USA. He is a Financial Services Professional with MassMutual and Executive Director, International Hospitality Division, American Motel Hotel Brokers Network. As a giving back to society, he has decided to devote some of his time to the theme of happiness for all, happiness without props, happiness from within.
