@ Assisted Living was able to continue providing entertainment throughout the winter months thanks to amazing technology that allowed remote creativity and collaboration. Videos of many talented dancers and musicians were compiled and shared with the assisted living facilities.

As the weather becomes increasingly colder, outdoor performances are no longer an option. Due to COVID regulations and restrictions, it is imperative to limit contact with others, especially indoors. @ Assisted Living overcame this barrier and planned to perform virtually at Ridgefield Crossings this December. This means that residents can view the performance from the comfort of their rooms. No need to bundle up like from the October show! A winter performance video created by Caroline Pickett was sent to Ridgefield Crossings and it includes Irish dancers, musicians, and singers.
@ Assisted Living's Irish dance show made its third appearance at Ridgefield Crossings. Performing for the first time in September of 2020, Irish dancers Acadia and Britta Petersen, Caroline Pickett, and Deirdre Smith showed off their talents from home. The girls performed four dances, ranging from reels to slip jigs. The opening number of the show was a treble reel. B. Petersen and Smith performed a two-hand reel to the song "Christmas in Killarney" by Bing Crosby.
Making their debut to @ Assisted Living is David and Lauren Brooks. The father-daughter duo played "Silent Night", flute arrangement by Franz Gruber and piano arrangement by David Brooks. This elegant and festive piece was the perfect addition to the virtual performance. We hope to see them in future shows!
On a similar note, making their debut to @ Assisted Living also is RHS Sings. After Caroline Pickett contacted RHS Sings member Sydney Michel about joining her in this show, Michel accepted and offered to bring more team members on board. This lovely addition is perfect and pulls the whole show together. RHS Sings members Alyza Crook, Justine Corsilia, Madeleine Loomis, Martha Huitron, Priya Natarajan, and Sydney Michel performed two festive group songs consisting of "Let it Snow" and "Winter Wonderland". Soloist Sydney Michel also performed two songs herself. Michel performed "Away in a Manager" and "The First Noel".
Last but certainly not least, Alex Dillulio also made an appearance in this virtual show. Performing for the first time with @ Assisted Living back in October of 2020, Dillulio played "The Christmas Song" on the cello for the winter performance. The piece is by Robert Wells and was definitely a highlight of the show.
