The role of the assisted living facility/contact manager is to find new opportunities and assisted living facilities to perform at. This position is crucial for the functioning of @ Assisted Living. This job is not time consuming and is flexible. This position has no in-person tasks so responsibilities can be fulfilled from virtually anywhere. Individuals will need to have hard skills that include access to the internet and experience working with email. Soft skills include great communication and collaborative skills, well organized, quick to replying to emails, and motivated.
The role of the audio director is to monitor the music, control the speaker and microphone(s), and move/set up the microphone stand at live performances. The audio director will be traveling to live performances, setting up the microphone(s) and wireless speaker, and making adjustments to these aspects during the show if necessary. This position requires individuals to be present at live performances and is time flexible other than performance dates. This job requires applicants to work well with tech and audio. The audio director will be working with an Ion Audio Block Rocker Rechargeable Speaker System, a wireless speaker with microphone, however, individual(s) are not required to have prior experience working with this model and will gain experience working as this role. Hard skills also include a mean of transportation to performances, working with email, access to FaceTime or a similar platform, experience working with a microphone stand, and is familiar with the Google suit. The collaboration manager's job is to seek collaboration or partnership opportunities with local performing groups. @ Assisted Living enjoys working with bands, clubs, choirs, and other groups. Past collaborations include the Ridgefield High School Choir and RHS Sings. This position is not time consuming. As newsletter journalist, tasks consist of writing quick and reporting updates, performances, and other information. Updates consist of announcements or the planning of new shows. News articles categorized under "Other" include collaborations with groups or other miscellaneous news. Articles about performances summarize the show and give a general background of each performer, as well as any quick information. It is highly recommend that the newsletter journalist attends each performance in order to report about the show. This job is time flexible other than performance dates. Individuals will need to have hard skills that include experience working with email and a mean of transportation to performances. Soft skills include great communication and collaborative skills, well organized, quick to replying to emails, exceptional writing skills, and motivated.
The photographer/videographer is highly involved in the functioning of @ Assisted Living and the production live and virtual performances. Typical tasks for this role include filming virtual Irish dance performances, taking photos of live performances (before, during, and after),as well as recording live performances. This job is not time consuming, however, this job requires the individual to be present at live performances and at the filming of virtual performances. This job requires applicants to work well with tech and photo/video equipment. Hard skills also include a mean of transportation to performances and experience working with email. Soft skills include great communication and collaborative skills, well organized, quick to replying to emails, and motivated.
The role of the secretary is crucial to the functioning of @ Assisted Living. This position involves assisting the founder, relaying feedback, input, or ideas, working on small tasks or projects, checking/re-reading information, answering questions from troupe members, and more. The overall structure of this job will evolve to reflect the needs of this project and will very much work around the individual who obtains this role. For this reason, this job is flexible, but is subject to change. It is important that the secretary works well with email, Message, and FaceTime. The use of other hard skills will be proven useful, however, this will take shape with experience. The role of the @ Assisted Living troupe recruiter is to find local, talented middle school or high school students for the @ Assisted Living Troupe. This involves emailing, calling, and/or posting information to recruit and spread word.
