Following the ERA Plan Presentation at the 2023 ATAA Conference, AYC would like to build on the plan and develop a “Resource” for the Turkish American community. Using our expertise and knowledge in the American college admissions system, the ATAA Youth Committee is launching a FREE college applications program to assist Turkish American high school seniors.

The main objective of the program is to assist Turkish American high school seniors in gaining admission to strong universities for their academic field. Our team will do so by tackling the various components of the college applications process through 10 seminars and assigning students work to help themselves build a strong application.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The final deadline to apply is by June 26th, 2024 at 11:59 pm EST.

A1) Students must (a) be rising seniors (12th grade), (b) identify as Turkish American, and (c) demonstrate a strong commitment to their education and the college applications process.

A3) Through weekly seminar series on various components of the college applications process and outside assignments, students should expect to learn how to draft a strong college list, write compelling essays, develop their extracurriculars/awards, ace their interviews, and more.
