AT Consultation

An AT Consultation:

• can be for an individual student (student level) or for many students (system level) who might be struggling with the same type of goal or task in class

• will require parental consent if the AT trainer is going to observe the student,.

• is not a service that is documented in the IEP.

• focuses on AT that is readily available (built in features, items not being used or under utilized, etc...)

• lasts as long as needed but often 1 or 2 contacts between the educator and the AT trainer/consultant is enough.

• results in tools/strategies that can be used the same day.

• may lead to an AT Evaluation.

• currently needs to be triggered by filling out a student level request form/ROCS or a system Level request form/ ROCS.
