Aswathi joined SERL as CSIR JRF in August 2019. She completed her M.Sc. in Applied Zoology from Kannur University Campus, Mananthavady. Her topic of research is “Taxonomic Studies on Chrysididae (Insecta: Hymenoptera) of Western Ghats, Kerala Region”. Members of the family Chrysididae are commonly called Cuckoo Wasps because of their kleptoparasitic behaviour as that of cuckoo birds.
